LeAnn Knapp, LCSW-R, PMH-C
LeAnn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in adult and young adult mental health and wellness. With a specific focus on trauma-informed care and a certification in Perinatal Mental Health, she is uniquely accomplished and passionate about assisting her clients through difficult life events and stages.
LeAnn integrates several different modalities of therapeutic techniques including Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Trauma Focused, and Mindfulness to best support her clients. LeAnn encourages self-inquiry to identify patterns of behavior that are no longer serving her clients and to help them forge new pathways for change.
LeAnn received her initial training at the PROS Program at Access Supports for Living where she provided individual and group therapy for clients with serious and persistent mental health diagnoses. She has extensive experience in the outpatient setting as a therapist at Garnet Health Medical Center where she provided individual therapy to support clients of all ages. She is excited to join Hudson Mental Wellness where she provides virtual therapy for adult clients with effective and customized treatments and plans. LeAnn has a Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University and is professionally licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey.
LeAnn loves to read, do Pilates and meditate, and is a novice gardener.
